Today Chris and I are in our 6th week of ! An extreme, intense home fitness program. Yes we were sucked in by an infomercial, while we were lounging on the couch eating a bag of chips! I must say we are getting our monies worth.
Our attempt is to move into a lifestyle change of, LIVING HEALTHY and BEING ACTIVE! Have we mastered our goal yet? The answer is no. Is it kicking our butts? The answer is a BIG FAT YES! So far it has been worth every minute and we are even seeing results.
I am at the point in my routine that I need to step up my accountability so I am going to post periodically about my progress. Who knows we may even start a local group to help others achieve success without the cost of a gym or personal trainer!

So, to start my 2009, I have joined about 3,000 other women on a year long journey of learning scripture. I absolutely have a hunger for God’s word and for His truths to invade my heart! In my experiences on this journey called life, I will always screw up what I don’t allow Him to have complete control of!
I will meditate on two scriptures a month leaving my heart with 24 new truths abiding in it. The verse that keeps gnawing at my consciousness is Philippians 2:14-15.
This is going to be a tough one for me to move from head knowledge to heart knowledge! How about you, how do you do on this one?

My man and I headed off to Caesar’s Head yesterday for a hike! Raven Cliff Falls was gorgeous and we even crossed a suspendedbridge!!!!!! Yikes, Chris hates bridges and his face was priceless!
Can I get a woot woot for the 12 miles we trotted o’er the mountain high!

Change is good when you happen upon something this GOOD! I admit I am a coffee addict
but I am NOT a coffee snob! I am known to try a variety of brands and flavors.
Though I am a lover of Starbuck’s I am not afraid to drink some Dunkin Doughnut’s either. You cannot be too choosy when your budget will not accommodate your taste buds.
Just the other week I decided to splurge on my coffee purchase at the grocery and I am so GLAD I did! So far Hazelnut Creme and Macadamia Nut have made it into my buggy!

Many of us will spend some time making our New Year Resolutions and most of us will look back only to find we never finished what we started or that we never started what we intended! I certainly have been guilty of that myself. A new diet that we wont live by forever, goals to accomplish that just don’t fit into our season of life, promises made to people that are beyond our ability to keep and schedules that tire us out while we are planning them! You know you are singing my song!
I did not want to fall into this category yet another year so,this week during my quiet time I spent some time asking God to show me His New Year’s Resolution for me. This is what He said, ” Seek Philippians 2:5-18 so you can confidently say 1 Corinthians 11: 1 to my children”. It’s going to be a challenge for me but certainly a resolution that leaves lasting results!

Don’t let satan steal your JOY and TREASURE of this season. Forgive where there is a need for forgiveness, call the one you have not spoken to in years, release resentment and cling to a new hope, walk out of your pit into His daily grace. Just choose JOY! Choose it and keep it!

I recently came across a sign that read, ” Well behaved women rarely make history”. I must admit my first reaction was that of hostility, then I came to my senses and began to think rationally.
In my perspective it is the mind behind the thought that takes you to the reality of ones thoughts becoming statements. My path crosses daily with women who are diligently making history and my life is a growing legacy of women doing womanhood before me.
I am not in any attempt going on some tyrant to prove a pagan mindset wrong. But in the next few weeks I am going to pay tribute to women who are making history that is full of integrity and self-worth. In the legacy of life, I want to have made some pretty awesome history for my creator. Without Him history isn’t even worth trying to make.
